ANOTHER DOCTOR!!

Happy Monday! Today was truly a busy, busy day. One, I can't believe we are already in the month of December. First of all, where in the world did November go? But anyway, its a birthday month, so it should be a good month. Right??

Anyway, today I had a doctor appointment with a different general practitioner (uh, I hope I spelled that correctly) I am sure I told you all that I needed to change doctor due to my mother's doctor catching a case. But anyway, it took me a while to finally find another doctor besides my oncologist to monitor all the other "stuff". A friend of mine recommended two doctors actually. One is 5 minutes from my house and the other one is about 40 minutes away but that way is near a TJ Maxx, so you know I did not mind taking the drive. I decided to try the one 5 minutes away from the house first just to see if I would like Dr.W. 

Dr.W is actually a nurse practitioner so she can't not write certain prescriptions, especially pain medication. I believe my friend didn't know that but when I went to make an appointment I said I would try her because I am not on any pain medication. Thank God!

I love her!! When I go to the doctor, I MUST feel comfortable. Especially now since now I MUST explain my medical history. I am not very open when it comes to talking but if I am comfortable with you then I will just run with the conversation. I felt comfortable sharing my story without shedding any tears. I am getting better talking about it. Even though its only 3 years, it can be hard for me to talk about my cancer at times. She even told me that she too is a cancer survivor for 15 years. I know I will get there. As she said, God has a purpose for my life. I am sure its to aggravate a few more people...lol

The appointment took a long time because it was crowded and then we were talking. Otherwise it was a great Monday. I lost a couple more pounds and I pampered myself with a mani/pedi. Ahhhhhh...
