What a day!
This Saturday was truly, truly busy. I have been baking all week and I LOVE IT! It keeps me busy. It all began Wednesday when I had to bake for my good friend's husband, which was a key lime cake and its his favorite. We threw him a little surprise birthday party. He was so surprised. Then I had to make a lemon pound cake w/ lemon icing. That was for a new customer Friday. I found it a little weird to have icing on a pound cake but to each its own. Even though I love lemon anything so this combination would be ok to me.
Then my hair dresser wanted me to make him a key lime cake as well. He wanted his on Saturday. That key lime cake is such a popular cake here in the south. He must order this cake every other week! He is my BEST customer. He made sure when I was in there on Friday getting my hair done did I receive his order. Actually, he placed the order with my mother on Tuesday while she was there. Gotta love em.
For the third time this week I am making this key lime cake. This time I am making it for my "niece" for Easter Sunday. She also wants 4 dozen red velvet cupcakes w/ a Easter theme. So I have been baking for the last couple of days. I had planned to go to a carnival today because I had everything ready and was done very early but I received an unexpected order.
I am not complaining!
As I was going to deliver my hairdressers cake, one of my old customers was in the barbershop and asked for a cake for the weekend. I said, not a problem! Cha Ching!! He will be picking up his pound cake tomorrow at 12 noon.
Busy day, but well worth it, but I am so glad the I am in my bed.
Have a GREAT Easter bloggers!
I love baking! It is such a stress reliever for me!
ReplyDeleteBusiness sounds like its booming for sure...enjoy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your blog. I am following you on GFC so I don't miss any of your posts. My dearest friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer...it was only stage one but it is the kind that is estrogen driven and is aggressive. She is in the middle of chemo. When it is finished she will have radiation followed by 2 years of tamox...(I don't recall the exact name.) I'm so glad you visited my blog. Also, I was going to e-mail you back but you come up as a no reply blogger.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
